Macquarie Telecom Data Centre

Scope of Work:

  • Fire Sprinkler Suppression System including
  • Pre-action system to AS2118.1
  • Fire Detection System to AS1670.1
  • Occupant Warning System to AS1670.1
  • Supply and install tail end pre-action double interlock dry pipe sprinkler systems inclusive of alarm valve set, monitored main isolation valve, air compressors, flow switch, flow switch solenoid test valve, monitored floor isolation valves, pipework, sprinkler heads, protective guards, waste and test drain line and connection to plumbing drainage stack and all associated items of equipment and interface with sub-FIP.
  • Supply and installation multi aspirated smoke detection (MASD) systems.
  • Supply and installation of fire system reprogramming to the NFP.
  • The installation of speakers complying with AS 1670.
  • Portable fire extinguishers throughout all buildings in accordance with AS2444.

The Hub – NEP

Scope of Work:

  • IG55 Gaseous Suppression Systems to AS 4214.
  • Sprinkler System to AS 2118
  • Fire Detection and Suppression Control to AS 1670.1.
  • Occupant Warning System to AS1670.1
  • Supply and installation multi aspirated smoke detection (MASD) systems.
  • Supply and installation of fire system reprogramming to the NFP.

M4-M5 Link Main Tunnel

Scope of Work:

The M4-M5 Link Tunnels project is the final and most critical component of WestConnex, featuring twin tunnels between the New M4 at Haberfield and the New M5 at St Peters. Each tunnel will be approximately 7.5 kilometres long and able to accommodate up to four lanes of traffic in each direction.

Emerge fire is responsible for the high-level integration of the fire systems Wet/Dry throughout the entire WestConnex system. Our integrated Monitoring and control system for tunnel fire suppression system inclusive of, but not limited to;

  • Remote manual and auto control for deluge valves,
  • Remote control of motorized isolating valves,
  • Control of fire pumps,
  • Monitoring of equipment such as sprinkler flow switches, pressure switches, fire pump control, water tank status, foam suppression system status;
  • The integrated system has a two high level interfaces to the tunnelling operations system (Sidera), with full control of the fire system.

West Connex Stage 2 Tunnels NM5

Scope of Work:

The NSW government’s WestConnex project is the largest integrated transport and urban revitalization project in Australia. The 33km motorway will link the M4 Motorway to the M5 Motorway via Sydney Airport, integrating a 13km tunnel as part of the new plans.

The contracted work included the design verification, manufacture, supply, cabling installation verification, testing and commissioning of the fire control, monitoring detection and alarm system for the new M5 Project, and the integration of the fire detection systems with the OMCS/PMCS. The scope of work covered the followings:

  • The Main Fire Panels (MFP)
  • Graphic User Interface (GUIs)
  • Sub Fire Panels (SFP)
  • Data Gathering Units (DGU)
  • Addressable Devices
  • Alarm Signaling Equipment (ASE)
  • Linear Heat Detection Systems 

Eastern Distributor Tunnel

Scope of Work:

A 6 km motorway and an important link in Sydney’s orbital motorway network. It features a 1.7 km ‘double deck’ tunnel, with southbound lanes running underneath the northbound lanes. 

The contracted work also included the supply, cabling, Installation, testing and commissioning of the fire control, monitoring detection and alarm system and the integration of the fire detection systems with the OMCS/PMCS.


Nepean Hospital

Scope of Work:

Nepean Hospital, and Community Based Services-Main Works Tower (Stage 1), The Works under the Contract is to complete the design, and documentation for the Fire Services and the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning of Fire Services associated with the Integrated Nepean Hospital and Community Based Services in accordance with Works Contract.

Emerge Fire is responsible for the design, documentation, supply, installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance and warranty of the Fire services including but not limited to:

  • Design Participation;
  • Authority Service Connections;
  • Combined fire sprinkler, fire hydrant and fire hose reel system;
  • Above ground combined fire sprinkler / fire hydrant panelised water storage tanks;
  • Window wetting and drencher sprinklers up to and including level 9 of the tower;
  • Fire and detection alarm system;
  • Sound System and Intercommunication System for Emergency Purposes;
  • Portable fire extinguishers and associated statutory signage;
  • Fire blankets;
  • Campus connection of the hydrant system;
  • Campus Interfacing for Dry Fire Network;
  • Temporary Hydrant and Hose Reels during construction in accordance with NCC E1.9;
  • Temporary Fire Extinguishers during construction.

Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai HospitalStage 2 and Medical Imaging

Scope of Work:

This project is being delivered in partnership with Health Infrastructure and Northern Sydney Local Health District. The NSW Government is investing $265 million in building and expanding the existing Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Emergency Department to allow the local community to have access to quality healthcare closer to home.

Emerge Fire is responsible for the design, supply and installations of the following Fire Protection Services associated with Stage 2 of this project;

  • Fire System Water Supply Infrastructure
  • Automatic Fire Sprinkler System
  • Fire Detection and Alarm System
  • Emergency Warning and Intercommunication System (EWIS)
  • Design and Construct Contract

Poly Centre- Sydney CBD and One Eden Park at Macquarie Park

Scope of Work:

  • Design and installation a combined sprinkler and fire hydrant throughout the building and in accordance with the requirements of AS2118.1-1999, AS2118.6-2012, AS2419.1-2005, Sydney Water, Plumbing Code of Australia, Fire and Rescue NSW, BCA, Fire Engineering Report, manufacturers’ specifications, all relevant codes, standards and requirements of the controlling authorities to ensure completion of the Works.
  • The supply and installation of fire pumps, which include two diesel fire booster pump sets and one diesel relay pump set.
  • Provide valve monitoring for the isolation valves and subsidiary stop valves and wire back to the fire indicator panel (FIP) for monitoring.
  • The Supply and installation of a Simplex fire alarm panel and a QE90 SSISEP system.
  • The supply and installation of an addressable analogue Detection System for to comply with AS 1670.7 for air handling purposes for buildings.
  • The supply and installation of a fire rated addressable detection loop. This loop will interface the sprinkler and building AS1668 systems throughout.
  • Portable fire extinguishers throughout all buildings in accordance with AS2444.
  • The installation of speakers complying with AS 1670.

One Eden Park – Macquarie Park

Scope of Work:

  • Design and installation a combined sprinkler and fire hydrant throughout the building and in accordance with the requirements of AS2118.1-1999, AS2118.6-2012, AS2419.1-2005, Sydney Water, Plumbing Code of Australia, Fire and Rescue NSW, BCA, Fire Engineering Report, manufacturers’ specifications, all relevant codes, standards and requirements of the controlling authorities to ensure completion of the Works.
  • The supply and installation of fire pumps, which include two diesel fire booster pump sets and one diesel relay pump set.
  • Provide valve monitoring for the isolation valves and subsidiary stop valves and wire back to the fire indicator panel (FIP) for monitoring.
  • The Supply and installation of a Simplex fire alarm panel and a QE90 SSISEP system.
  • The supply and installation of an addressable analogue Detection System for to comply with AS 1670.7 for air handling purposes for buildings.
